An advocate whose heart and purpose have always centered on the emotional well-being of all those in need. As an educator with a doctorate in social and emotional care, my lifelong philosophy has been that true learning begins with feeling safe, seen, and loved. That belief continues to guide me through Dr. Ro’s Bear Hugs Mission, where I strive to bring comfort and connection to children and all those experiencing trauma, illness, depression or hardship.

Through the simple gift of a teddy bear, I hope to inspire hope, healing, and human connection in every heart I reach. Each bear is a message of love and reassurance, a reminder that someone cares, and that kindness can make even the hardest days a little softer.

Our Bears' Journey

Each of Dr. Ro’s Bears has known a time of struggle and challenge. Like those that they are meant to comfort, every bear has walked its own quiet journey, one of waiting, healing, and hope.

Lovingly chosen, dressed, and embraced with warmth by Dr. Ro, these bears have been given a second chance to share their love. Once in need of care themselves, they now long to bring that same kindness to a child who needs it most.

Each bear patiently awaits a loving friend, Someone to hold them close, to remind both hearts that they are never truly alone. Together, they share comfort, courage, and connection.
