An advocate whose heart and purpose have always centered on the emotional well-being of children. As an educator with a doctorate, my lifelong philosophy has been that true learning begins with feeling safe, seen, and loved. That belief continues to guide me through Dr. Ro’s Bear Hugs Mission, where I strive to bring comfort and connection to children experiencing trauma, illness, or hardship.

Each of Dr. Ro’s Bears has known a time of struggle and challenge. Like the children they are meant to comfort, every bear has walked its own quiet journey, one of waiting, healing, and hope.

Lovingly chosen, dressed, and embraced with warmth by Dr. Ro, these bears have been given a second chance to share their love. Once in need of care themselves, they now long to bring that same kindness to a child who needs it most.

Each bear patiently awaits a loving friend, a child to hold them close, to remind both hearts that they are never truly alone. Together, they share comfort, courage, and connection.
